general update
I started an internship at Prisoner Legal Services last week. Every day I go through the requests sent to us by prisoners, ranging from needing help w/ traffic tickets to asking for more information about crimes they've been charged with. My favorite so far was the guy who needed info on both medical marijuana and stalking. I also get to go into the jails and talk to prisoners in person. I think my street cred has increased by 150%.
Still haven't heard back from any other law schools. I'm excited to get those acceptance/rejection letters, but I'm not losing sleep over it at this point. If I don't get into Stanford or Berkeley, it's no biggie. Although why they wouldn't want a gay Latino Mandarin Chinese speaker is just beyond me.
So far, I have de-cluttered both the linen closet and the shoes/coats closet at my house. I realized recently that I should be taking before and after pictures of these things for my portfolio, because if my law career doesn't work out, I think my job as a professional organizer has A LOT of promise.
